Elite Crete Systems showcases the versatility of their products through concrete art
Elite Crete Systems showcased their products on two of the Artistry in Decorative Concrete demonstrations this year at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Audra Lynch Nanay of “Audra Lynch & Cie” created a lavish decorative concrete art presentation over the course of 4 days.
Mother nature created an obstacle on day one for Audra and put her behind the eight ball, however Audra was able to work around the weather and finished her work in time to have the attention of all the attendees that witnessed the Artistry in Decorative Concrete.
The base of Audra’s concrete artistry display was created with THIN-FINISH™, a cementitious concrete overlay and was hand coloured and stained with ULTRA-STONE™ to create authentic marbling effects. Using a grouting bag filled with TEXTURE-PAVE™, Audra applied various design and emblems. Gold and silver leafing were used on twenty of the “tiles” as well as embedding terrazzo glass on another five tiles, giving a beautiful shimmering light effect. Audra carefully faux finished wood grains and hand scored the texture throughout. The individual tiles were cut with a 10 cm angle grinder and a steady hand. Finally, the project was coated in E100-UV1™, a 100% solid epoxy coating, giving more pop to the colours and dimension to the final appearance of her concrete artistry display.
We hope to see Audra again at the World of Concrete’s Artistry in Decorative Concrete demonstration. Without a doubt this is one of the most spectacular pieces of concrete art and concrete flatwork that we have come across.
